Wiggle on a stick!
Wiggle on a stick! is the hunting cry of an Oakland, CA, squid gigger. The cry is used to alert the gigger's partners that the graftopus has been safely pinned with the gigging-stick, and that the two whackers should come forward and beat the thing into a squishy puddle with their baseball bats.
It is essential for the gigger to properly pin the graftopus before the whackers come in. While not especially fast on land, the graftopus will use its flailing tentacles to lash onto a hunter and draw him or her closer to its beak and caustic ink. These can cause severe, disfiguring injuries. Pinning the graftopus properly with the gigging stick prevents this.
