Maybe I got a bit lazy with the logo. Maybe I just altered a headshot of Steve Jobs.
Am I going to get sued by Apple? --Bmk 10:22, 18 June 2010 (EDT)
(Seriously though, if this is going to get Fictopedia in trouble, take that image down with extreme prejudice. I can come up with something else) --Bmk 10:23, 18 June 2010 (EDT)
As amusing as I do find it (given that Apple would definitely be the first real-world company to use Nano-verts if they existed, I think your instinct is correct. With great sadness I am going to have to remove it. The official policy reason is that it is a picture of an actual celebrity. My thinking is that we should be either using stock photographs or creating our own illustrations (since Fictopedia is creative commons licensed). We can't use other people's copyrighted images. However, the user Egads is a friend of mine (and a line from an email of his was the original inspiration for the article), and also a very gifted (but busy) comic artist. I'll lean on him to sketch up a cartoon face. Syntaxbad 13:52, 18 June 2010 (EDT)
Yeah, love mocking Steve and all, but best to be careful. I had a manic, grinning, super-caffenated lunatic in mind for the logo when I wrote it. If I had any artisic talent, I would put it up in a second. --PresidentBeardface 14:21, 18 June 2010 (EDT)
Yeah, no problem. For what it's worth, the original picture was CC licensed, but I think that's fine. It wasn't such a brilliant idea that I would try to keep it up :) Just a little joke. --Bmk 21:26, 18 June 2010 (EDT)
Understood, because Apple doesn't have much a of history of lawsuits, right? Right? --PresidentBeardface 21:53, 18 June 2010 (EDT)
